Generally in the society various crimes are reported and discovered and the daily newspapers are filled with such news. However there are a few cases that fail to see the day light or are rarely reported. The child abuse is such a crime which you would have noticed in the day to day life in and around you but rarely anyone raises voice against it. These cases are seldom reported even if the child abuse laws are strictly enforced in the society. Child abuse is something which is considered to be very generic and most of the parents neglect it keeping in mind various grounds. But as per the child abuse laws this abuse may be of different types such as sexual abuse, emotional abuse or physical abuse.

The child abuse is actually any sort of physical, mental or social mistreatment of children by a caregiver or the parents. It is done with an intention to harm a child or posing threat to do so. The child abuse laws cover neglecting behaviour also. Under such type of issue the child abuse situation is known when the children feel neglected as they grow or become mature. This kind of behaviour may give reasons to the child to feel that the entire society or their own parents are not with us. Consequently for no reasons the child despises society. Such children face disorders like depression, trauma, reactive attachment disorder, fear, sleeplessness and anxiety, etc. Thus the child abuse laws are empowered with strict measures to prevent it.

Child abuse is not only a moral but it also a grave legal crime as described by the law. As per the child abuse laws the worst type of child abuse is sexual abuse that mars the mental, physical as well as emotional life of the child. The child abuse laws deals with prevention, investigation, assessment, prosecution as well as treatment of the victim. Various state governments allocate funds to the non profit organizations and social service institutions to spread awareness of the law and the right assigned to children.
