Child Abuse Symptoms

In the child abuse category we should put physical, emotional and of course the sexual mistreatement. I don't like to get involved too much in others lifes but if I recognize child abuse symptoms I don't close my eyes. We all should take action when we see something out of the oridinary happening with children and if we know the child abuse symptoms we can help the children and in the bigger picture, the society.

It's called a child abuse not only if there are bruises or fractures (violence) but the ignorance towards children, putting them in dangerous situations and talking trash in front of the children is also child abuse.

When can you see a kid having child abuse symptoms? When you can see the effects. If you're paying attention at children near you, you can probably see multiple personalities. Relationship difficulties and the lack of trust in others is the easiest to spot child abuse symptom. If you see that a kid is feeling worthless or even damaged then he or she is problably abused by his parents. If your parents is telling you that you are just another idiot you won't be able to trust your own skills. Another child abuse symptom is the weird manner of showing emotions. Children who are abused by their parents have a strange way to act when they're happy or upset.

As I wrote in the first paragraph there are multiple types of child abuse.

In the emotional child abuse we put calling names, ignoring a kid as punishment (the classic silent treatment), telling a kid he's useless, threatening and exposing him to violence.

Physical abuse involves violence towards the kid, injury to the kid, inappropriate punishments for kid's age etc. What is really bad is that the parents who punishes their kids using violence think that it is just a simple form of discipline.

Emotional child abuse symptoms:

  • no attachement to their parents shown by the child
  • acts too childish
  • excessively fear about doing something

Physical child abuse symptoms:

  • strange injuries or bruises
  • bruises have a pattern
  • wears clothing to cover injuries
  • afraid to be touched
  • the child is always on alert

Sexual child abuse symptoms:

Child Abuse Symptoms
  • having trouble walking
  • always avoiding the same person without having any abvious reason
  • pregnancy at low ages (under 14)
  • very shy and doesn't want to change clothes in front of the others

Everyone should take action if they see child abuse symptoms.
