The stage between the birth and the adolescence stage is known as childhood. The maximum development of a human being takes place in the childhood phase. The development in this phase of life is termed as child developement. Child developement is the most important change that takes place in the life of a human being. The future of any person depends upon the child developement that took place in his childhood. 

It is therefore necessary to pay heed during the growth of any human being. It is during the child developement only that the personality of every human being is shaped. Before this development of the child, the personality and the nature of the human being are like clay which can be molded into any desired shape and form. It is hence the responsibility of the parents and elders to take care of the child during this development stage. If the child goes into wrong hands, he is ought to develop into an irresponsible and indecent human being without proper moral values and respect for fellow beings. Usually persons who lack proper child developement gradually develop into criminals or offenders at law. On the other hand, a child who is brought up properly develops into a good citizen. Therefore the phase of child developement is very important for every person. Not only do the moral values develop in the child during this development but the child also develops physically in the same phase. Maximum development of a child is recorded in the phase of child developement only. 

If the child does not receive proper nutrition at this stage, he remains under-developed and does not form a good personality. At the stage of development, as the child grows, more nutrition and energy is required by his body for various activities as well as proper growth of the body as well. It is not enough that the qualities develop and not the physical features. It is necessary that there is proper growth of the child physically too which includes both mental and bodily growth. Most of the development of the child takes place because of the events that take place in this duration. It is therefore necessary that care should be taken to prevent the child from experiencing unwanted activities without putting restriction to his growth both physically and psychologically. The better the environment and nutrition in the phase of child developement, the better the growth of the child.
